Provincial Order Revising City Ballot Question

City Politicians approved an ambiguous ballot question that once the result was in, they could argue that people voted only to support the election of the 3 local councillors by ward vote resulting in only these 3 councillors plus the mayor being fully accountable, responsive, and responsible for representing specific community interests at City Hall.  This would leave the majority of council, the Regional Councillors as less accountable, less responsive, and less responsible for representing the needs and interests of city ratepayers.

I appealed the city’s question, designed to protect the majority of Council from the extra work and campaign rigours to the chief election commissioner and won a fairer question for voters.
